I just logged in and it says I need to update to a newer version to use SL. Ok, no problem. Finished the update and went to log in again. It still continues to say I need that update although I already have it. Even tried letting it update a second time and I still get the "need to update" message. What the heck is going on??

RE: Update issues

I'm having the same issues. I do the update, install, go to login, and then have to update again to the version that was originally on my computer to begin with. And it's the same in Release Candidate. They need to fix the problem, since no one can log in now after doing the "update".

I too have this problem, I even did a clean download into a new directory and it still will not let me log in. Is there any suggestions on how to fix this?

Just leftclick/properties on your secondlife icon and change the commandline.
It's probably -channel "Second Life Release" change this to anything like -channel "New Second Life".

I think this could be related to the ongoing server upgrade

they started the upgrade to server 1.25 today, then residents complained about login issues so they rolled back to previous version.
