What the hells all this about?

I stopped getting this a few weeks back, but now I'm seeing it again and again.

Normally on a group of private openspaces. when I cross a boundry line between 2 sims (both owned by the same people)

Why do we get this message?

It's because we are in the middle of a rolling restart. It will calm down in a couple of hours.

More specificaly, it is becuase the server you are connected to is running a diferent version of software then the last one you are connected to.

In second life they have to put out new servers in waves, not all at once.

Yeah, I gathered it means it was running a different version of the software.
I just wondered what this meant in real terms.

I know we get new versions of the client (as we have one now being tested) so, do I therefore assume that this is the same at the other end. Happens how and again and is onlya temporary thing the goes away after a while?
