With no real cause or reason a certain pair of pants, gloves and a skin will turn the mesh pure black. I say mesh because when I put on the gloves, the whole upper torso becomes black, the mesh the gloves are on. If I put on a shirt or a jacket, etc. The gloves appear normal.
This also happens with a pair of jeans as well.
The oddest one is my skin texture, as the body will appear normal, but the head will be black. All copies of the skin are effected as well.
I believe this all started when I put on the Barricade avatar from Sector 7, at it has a pure black skin. If not that, it would be the Blood Angels Terminator I bought from a vendor. (It's a Warhammer 40k if you know what that is, if not, it's armor)

Nothing new here, old bug
stuff that cause it/fixes
- wear a "blank" av, restart sl, delete cache, log in, refresh inventory, wear something like a skin, see if it manage to rebake properly
- run sl in main screen if you have multiple
- toggle on/off graphics/enable vbo
- dont run multiple programs that use opengl, i gotten this with blender and some others at the same time with SL as it interfere with sl opengl stuff...something
- in some rare cases only way to fix it is to get a new clothing
and always post your pc spec's!, if its a older vid card you shouldnt be running latest vid card drivers, to old and it wont help anyway, to new and you should run not the newest but the one version behind it.
But if you have a unsupported vid card i just wasted time writing all this : P

Where is the cache folder located, I can't seem to find it. I was told to try this, but couldn't find it.
It's a NVIDIA 8400M GS, which I don't think is supported technically by SecondLife. This only happened when i put on those clothes, but I have also recently gotten QAvimator, which I was using while on SL, maybe that is the cause?

In Explorer, you will need to go to Tools/Folder Options/View and select "Show Hidden Files and Folders" to be ON.
The Cache folder is located at c:/documents and settings/{your name here}/Application Data/Second Life/Cache.
Delete the ENTIRE CACHE FOLDER. This is really okay, trust us.

Clearing the cache didn't help, dang it, lol. I did the cache way in-game, should I still go in and delete the folder?
