In the last months (maybe since havoc 4, but this might be a coincidence) I spot from time to time agents in strange states. Most of the time they are showing up on the minimap, but there is no avatar inworld.
Now I got the issue of a apparently dead avatar lying around. I can not eject her, I can not push her, she's just floating there in a strange pose and slowly decomposes ( she
s already gray since her backed textures timed off).

Anybody seen this before? Are there jiras about that?

She's ghosted. These usually go away when the sim gets restarted.

If you're on a private island, ask an estate manager to restart the region. If it's mainland, you can do a support ticket for it and they will usually give it a restart.

I think LL are treating us to some sort of delayed anniversary celebration:

1. Lost Invenotry
2. Objects disappearing from world.
3. Lag spikes
4. Ghosted Avatars
5. Textures that never fully load.
6. Avatar textures repeatedly rezzing and de-rezzing.

These are all problems that were experienced very regularly a few years ago. Maybe someone is feeling nostalgic and bringing them back??

I think the problem of ghosted avatars is quite new. Until havoc4 simulators hadn't such long uptimes and got cleared regularly by reboots. Not forgetting the frequent server software updates we got in that time.

Ghosted avatars is not something new. The resurgence of the frequency has recently risen........that may be new. But two years ago ghosted avatars were quite common. So common that there were workarounds to get the avi unghosted. Things like paying, IM'ing, bumping. Those old tricks don't seem to be working lately though.

This problem was very common in 2004, when I firsy joined.
Hence my comments about LL getting all nostalgi over the olden days of SL!

Seriously, though, the technical problems are very bad at the moment LL don't communicate properly so it's difficult to know why these old problems have come back.

Kinda boring though!
