Problems Having SL Profile Pic Show on Tip Jars

OK, so I already know that tip jars have their own caches in most cases and I don't think that is the problem in this case because of the fact that I left the 2nd life pic in place for over 2 weeks, one of the tip jar's owners reset them for me to no avail, and it happened on multiple tip jars as well as welcome board greeters. This has never happened to me before.

I had a friend do a profile pic for me and sent it over in several formats as textures. When they didn't show up on tip jars or welcome boards, then I put the pic I wanted on a prim and took a snapshot of it and dropped that into my profile. Still no dice. So then I reverted to my original 2nd life profile pic, cleared my cache, and double-checked all my preferences, but still no change. I honestly can't figure out what would be preventing my 2nd life profile pic from showing up on tip jars, even when I used a snapshot (4:3 ratio, too).

Any ideas of what I should do to make this work?

You might have to give it a few days to appear. The profile pics that appear on scripted objects are pulled from the web search of a profile, and I don't believe these are instantly updated. (also make sure your profile is not set for hidden in search)

In your web browser, type...

http://world.secondlife.com/resident/UUID

replacing "UUID" with your user key and see what appears.

You might try clearing the browser cache to help.
