I enabled "return other peoples objects after <1> minute" today, for the first time ever. This was on my parcel in Natoma.
Immediately (not in one minute), a number of objects that most definitely belong to me (i.e. my front door) were returned to me.
I am certain the objects belong to me, were not deeded out in any way to anybody else, and were not part of a group with edit rights.
As the feature appears to be broken, I shut it off before my house was torn to pieces, again, by the system.

I think it interprets "other peoples' objects" to mean "objects that are not set to the same group as the land, even if they were created by the landowner." I had the same thing happen to me while I was building on group land. It is definitely buggy. You have to manually do "Return Objects" first and make sure it doesn't highlight your entire build before you turn on the autoreturn option, or else you may find yourself on empty land.

That would be interesting, since if that's what it actually does, then it doesn't do what it says it does at all.
The objects I am referring to however were on my land, which is involved with no group at all, and the objects themselves were part of no group. So, no-group objects, on no-group land, which to my knowledge in fact I am the first owner of, were returned when activating "return objects that don't belong to me".
The mystery deepens.

If you owned the door, it shouldn't have been returned to you. Bug report it.
