This may have to do with Mickey Roark's Bermuda effect thread, dunno, but it is a bit of an explanation so here goes..
Monday Xavier was working with his sim crashing script. We went for a ride on his object that his script was controlling. One ride took us up over 500z, the object flew off world and we fell back down to earth rather quickly. The other times the fall was more of a float, and there was time to gain control over the fall, this time there was not. Baang, I died, and was transported home, which was the same spot, right next to our voting booths.
A few moments later I clicked my booth to check the total number of votes, and found it had reset. I lost my votes. Xavier went to check his votes and in the process lost his votes too. We had 8 each. Then I tried to revote for Xavier and his booth told me I had already voted, even though his booth vote count was now zero. BIG Bummer.
But there is more. Tuesday, when I got inworld, I checked my booth again, nope still not taking votes. I asked someone to vote and it did not register. Lost another vote. By the time Xavier checked and replaced his booth he had lost 3 votes.
So last count before we logged off was - I lost 9 votes, 8 for Monday night, 1 for Tues, but I had 4 votes by the end of the night that I will get paid for.
Xavier lost the 8 on Monday, 3 on Tues, but he only had 2 votes last he checked, so he probs lost a total of 5 votes for Tuesday (depending on if he crossed the 4 vote line after he logged).
Ok so this is a combo bug report , and loss of vote vent. I can rationalize losing votes in the name of science, but if any Linden would feel compassion and reimburse us for our votes, that is ok with me too.
Richard Linden has a copy of the script. Xavier may have more details needed.
