Can't teleport with attachments on.

I am having to remove all my attachments every time I teleport, or it won't work, or if it does, I arrive at my destination immobile and either completely naked or with just my attachments, no AV.

They are simple attachments, no scripts, just prims. I've cleared my cache and that has not helped. Any more suggestions?

I've been trying to figure out all evening why my wig and adornments transport without me and I keep ending up in the ether.

It just started this evening. Never had it happen before to this degree - before a reboot or relog would fix it straight up, but I've relogged, rebooted, reinstalled, redeleted and reinstalled, and everything else anyone I can talk to can think of to try. As it stands now I can't go anywhere in the game but home. I can't even be tp'ed to a new location by anyone - gets the same result - it doesn't matter if the wig and earrings make it or the whole avatar, she's still in the ether.

I'll try taking everything off and see if that helps, but it's gonna SUCK to no END if I have to redress after every transport.

It's getting ridiculous. Maybe it's about time for me to sell all land and leave this place... It's going downhill fast.

This has been a totally unaddressed issue since v1.1 and likely earlier. The reason it is a problem is that a sim crossing is actually more like a de-rez at the border and a re-rez quickly on the other side. As the asset server (the single point that holds everyone's stuff) becomes more congested, you simply have to wait in the queue until re-rezzed.

As the world gets more populous, the asset server latency keeps going up and thus the problems get worse daily.

I never wear attachments for this exact reason.

If it had something to do with re-rezzing, then wouldn't it all rez eventually? That wasn't the case for me - even 30 minutes weren't enough for it to re-rez.

But I did find out this: scripted prims attached to my avie caused problems while unscripted ones did not. If the only attachments were wig and jewelry (textured but not scripted), the error rate was dramatically reduced to almost zero. Adding just one scripted item, even if not active - such as a walk/dance/pose bracelet or title bar over the head - caused problems.

Please, please don't let this be a permanent thing.
