someone...anyone...please help!!!
I have recently been crashing a lot when i try to log on to SL (4 times this morning. *cry). The error message I receive is a : Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library error. Abnormal program termination. It directs me to program files/secondlife/newview.exe.
Anyone know what I might need to to do fix this?

Anyone know what I might need to to do fix this? Uninstall SL, manually delete all related files off your hard drive. Go to your drive tools, and check for errors. Then re-download and re-install, and try again. If that doesn't fix it, we'll probably need more information.

As I've stated many times before, Newview.exe is EVIL. I think it's a fun thing that the Lindens put in to randomly crash people

Glad it worked for you. Sorry it was such a time-consuming process. This is pretty much the world-wide standard first round of troubleshooting whenever you have trouble with any kind of software. You didn't mention exactly where in the login process you were when the error occurred each time, but I would assume from the nature of the error that your cache got corrupted somehow. Oh, and, you're welcome. Glad to be of service.
