hehe. After about an hour of sitting around in the welcome area my stats kept getting worse, despite my crappy computer it's usually not this bad, and it seemed to only be in the natoma sim. http://ivocore.com/_CoreFiles/SLMakicom/crap.jpgIs there anything that can cause such horribleness? The packet loss just kept getting worse and worse and I could barely move, so before I was ready to pick up my computer and smash it into the floor into little pieces I clicked the 'X', about ten minutes later sl closed, just in time.. maki

with alot of packet loss Id try backing off my network pipe first - take it down from the default of 300k to 128DSL speeds. see if that effects packet loss - then check stuff like draw distance etc.

Right now we have some known problems that cause performance degradation of the Second Life Viewer over time, unfortunately - it's something that I'll be working on, pending work on other performance degradation issues, like crash bugs. In the meantime, the only thing that I can suggest is that logging out and in again. That will speed things up again. - Doug

Still having significant packet loss in Natoma even after restarts, not as bad as the other night though. I've already set my settings low, since I know my computer can barely handle it anyway. maki

Note that on the night of the 24th the internet was a bit choppy.
