My friend has signed up for second life, but my friend didn't get a activation email. So i made a new account and no activation email. Is this because the databases bugged up?

Have her make sure she has the right e-mail address. ALso check the trash and see if it went there. Yahoo e-mail is not SL-friendly. Perhaps make a google e-mail address and use that for SL.

i wonder if there is/was any resolution for this?
i now have the same problem, i made an account for an "alt" today and never received the activation email. the email addy i registered with IS valid, i checked by sending it an email from another addy i have with no problem, and it did Not go in the junk folder...what gives? |

i wonder if there is/was any resolution for this? Use one of the alternate registration portals listed at slnamewatch.com Some, if not all of them, don't use the activation e-mail. It's also easier to get the surname you want from them. _____________________
