many times when I get clothing from a vendor it comes as an object. How do I convert an object so that they will become wearable clothes?

Drag the object from your inventory onto the ground.
Right click on the object, select "open". Wait for the contents of the object to show up in the window, then click "Copy to inventory". Once this is done you can take the object back or delete it. _____________________
