People appear as yellow and green blobs. I'm guessing this is a graphics card problem, but my PC is pretty up-to-date and runs everything else absolutely perfectly. Is there some option I can pick to put this right?

I have the same problem, yellow people

People are yellow, but if i zoom out, i can see some textures, if I zoom just before eye view I can see the textures.
Any ideas? I have Inspiron 9300 with Radeon X300 128MB agraphics adapter |

Take a look at the part of Thili's post about disabling the Avatar Vertex Program option. I had that same symptom on one of my computers and disabling Avatar Vertex Program fixed it.
