I have msvs on my machine and when I leave SL, I get the error:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\SecondLife\newview.exe
R6025
-pure virtual function call
Does that help you any?? The result is, I can't get the world downloading??? slow moving as well.

I don't currently have MSVS installed on my system, but I've seen that same error message a couple of times. If the crash logger doesn't pop up next time you get it, manually send your secondlife.log to [email]support@lindenlab.com[/email] with a note telling the error message popup contents. That's what I did...
