Is there an archive of one's own old chat records? How to get access to it?

I thought I had read that there is a way of getting access to an archive record of the chats you had months (or years) ago? But I can't find any reference using various search terms.

(I am looking for what we said when my partner and I first met, just for sentimental purposes - though I guess the issue arises when there is some dispute about what was said leading to an AR as well. Could be useful to have access to your own records, anyway).

This feature needs to be turned on manualy in the preferences.

If it has been on, you can find the folder used by looking in the communication tab of the preferences.
