I'm sure I haven't searched everywhere, but I haven't been able to find out how long the "day" in SL is. Exactly how long is it from sunrise to sunrise in SL?

Partial answer...I think it is either 4 hours or 6 hours.

The SL day/night cycle is 4 hours of daylight, 1 hour of darkness.

Knowlege base: "Three hours of daytime and one hour of night, meaning in a real-world 24-hour day, there are six Second Life days."

The day is consistantly 4 hours from what I've seen, but the exact times of sunrise / sunset seem to vary by about 10 minutes or so. Apparently there are seasons although I haven't measured the length of a SL year.
