Troubles Logging In

For the past 3 days, I've had serious problems trying to log in. Either I get the gray box that says there are unexpected problems and I can't log in, or I get to the logging in part, where it says Logging in. Second Life may appear frozen. Please wait. Only, isn't 15 minutes waiting a bit too long? So, what's up?

I'm running 1.18.5.3 client - never have had problems with it before. Tried the newest client, and it was lagging me so bad, everyone around me was in slow motion.

Help please!

I'm having the same (if not similair) problem, I was on last night and this only started today, but the game keeps freezing at "logging in...." the bar just stops near the 1/4 marker I'd say, it doesn't "freeze" as I can just hit quit and leave, but it won't load either...what's going on?

An internal issue is making Inworld Searches unavailable at present. Additionally, some residents are reporting difficulties logging in. Ops believes they have identified the issue and are working to correct it. Please monitor this post for updates as they occur.

By the way the number of people logged in is plummeting, I think it's more than "some people" having problems getting in.

This has done nothing for me, but I suppose it might help if I were able to log in. As Sindy has said, the number of avies inworld is plummeting. I've been noticing that with each attempt to log in. I did read the post, hopefully they will get it fixed soon. I've been trying for over half an hour now to log in. Hubby is off camping and I'm bored to tears!

The reason its plummeting is because SL is so buggy and unstable, it crashes and people are made to relog, only to see the result of coffee spilt on the server and workers sleeping at there stations.
