Can't move objects I create

I was wondering if anyone else experience the same problem as me and if there is a resolution to it.

When I create an object. Create from the pie chart menu, then click on a shape and then the world it creates an object. Normally I can drag this object around and it moves. However it doesn't move. If I select it and go into edit mode it can move. Also, if I turn on physics I can move it. But I should be able to just move it. And no, lock is not checked.

Some interesting things I have noticed. When I select "View -> Alt Shows Phyiscal" and then press Alt. I notice the object I create isn't physical. If I check "allow others to move" other can move it, but I still can't.

Another thing that is weird is that when I drag old objects from my inventory out (non-physics enabled) I can move them around.

Anyone experience this? Any ideas on how to fix it?

*blink*

I've never been able to just 'move' an object without having my edit window open.

Except if that object has a script on it that makes it touchable. Then it moves when I touch and drag. And I HATE that. HATE IT HATE IT HATE IT!

Moleculor, I'm with you. HATE-HATE-HATE

If I make a clickable door, and my mouse is in motion when I click, and I hold my mouse button down a tad too long (or lag does it FOR me) then the door will MOVE OFF ITS FRAME.

BAD-BAD-BAD

It should NOT be possible to move stuff outside of edit mode unless you have purposefully set the object up to do so. It's just TOO easy to move things out of position by accident, just because they are clickable.
