This is mainly for my friend she can get on one of her accounts after a few tries she can log onto SL but barely do anything she can occassionally tp around and stuff but when it comes to her main alt she cannot log into her at all and is stuck ghost and immediately crashes afterwards - The thing is everything was working fine with her until the comcast people came over and did some work on her routers and stuff so she doesnt think it's a PC issue she thinks it has to do with her NET..but everything else works fine with her
She just wants to be able to log onto her main account but she's always crashing..but its odd she can log onto her other account and not her main..

I assume this a unusual problem that no one knows the solution to or does there need to be more detail?

System specs are always a good thing to provide when asking for technical help.
More punctuation would make your post easier to read and make sense of, and thus increase the chance of getting a useful response. It's harder to read run on sentences than it is to read properly separated sentences.
Possibly it would be more effective for the person with the problem to post instead of or in addition to running it through a middleman.
A first general thing to do would be to turn the computer, modem, and router off for a few minutes.
Another general thing to do would be to clear the SL cache, detach all attachments, and log in to a different place than usual.
Deleting the settings file wouldn't hurt.
Checking that all ports needed for SL are properly opened might help. According to the Knowledge Base, Second Life needs to connect to ports 443/TCP, 12035/UDP, 12036/UDP, 12043/TCP, and 13000-13050/UDP.
There could be a problem with a firewall.
If they can log in from a different computer, preferably at a different place than usual, that might provide some useful information.

From: Rey Short I assume this a unusual problem that no one knows the solution to or does there need to be more detail? It's not such an unusual problem..........I've seen people ask for help with the same problem in the past. But, yeah, it's not the normal problems people have with SL. I've got to echo everything Suezanne said. Aside from a few things that should be done anyway to possibly nail down the problem, there is very little anyone can say to you. System specs are always a must.........at least your computer type (laptop, desktop), CPU, graphics (card or accelerater), the amount of system RAM (type helps.......DDR, DDR2, etc), operatiing system, how you connect to the internet, are you networked (home or business), and what you've tried so far to fix the problem. No one knows any of that unless you tell them. As a "for instance"........my first question when reading your post was "Is this the same computer or two different computers that she is having problems with?" My thought process will be very different depending on that one question being answered. In short, please give as much information as you can..........you'll likely get better responses. You might even get your problem solved. There is a wealth of information among frequenters to this forum. And every single one of them really want to try to help. But, we can't unless we have some background to build on. As it stands right now, there is nothing beyond what Suezanne posted to say.......and the chances of any of that solving your problem are really slim. Yes, it would be so much better if your friend would chime in........second hand knowledge is always a little shakey.
