I had been able to use SL just fine prior to the event below that I believe caused the problem.
What had happened was, I was wanting to play Left 4 Dead with some friends, and when the game opened, it prompted me that my graphics drivers might be out of date, and suggested that I update them. So I did, and when I opened the game again, it gave me the same message. I played anyway, and didn't encounter any problems with the game.
However, when I went on SL again sometime after that, I noticed that I crashed a lot more often than I used to. (I used to have a slight crashing problem, but I managed to fix it by playing with my bandwidth settings?)
I don't know which drivers I had to begin with before I updated. I've tried a rollback, but there were no drivers available. I've also tried updating my drivers again, but it seems like that made the problem worse.
Specs:
Windows XP Home
Intel Core 2 Duo
ATI Radeon HD2400 (not sure if this is XT or Pro) (driver version: 8.612.0.0 as listed in device manager)
If anyone is familiar with this problem and is able to help, I'd greatly appreciate it. If you need more information about my specs, just ask and I'll get them.
Thanks,
-Oni
