If you are using the regular viewer to run both, set your graphics preferences to the absolute minimum for both. You could increase them if it doesn't lag you too much.

You might use a text based client like SLeek to run one account if you wanted. That should make less strain on the video processor.

Check here to learn how to run multiple accounts on the same computer at the same time:

https://support.secondlife.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=4417

On the running two accounts concurrently on the same minimally spec'd machine, you'll just have to try it. What I can tell you is that I do run two accounts on my machine occassionally. There really is not that much of a hit on performance over just one at a time. I do not see much increase in CPU usage (about 3%). RAM usage is a little more.........maybe 10%. It does not appear to take longer for things to rezz.....especially on the account you open second (I believe both accounts use the same cache.....not sure about that though).

Now I don't have a minimally spec'd machine.......actually it's pretty high spec'd. So those percentages will most likely be something different on your machine. I run both accounts at the ultimate settings with only one slider not maxed....my draw distance is set to 256 instead of 512. So if you try it I would start out with pretty low settings and slowly increase until things start getting to the point that reaches your personal limit to what is acceptable.

Good luck.
