...I'm starting to believe that all these "I can't connect to SL" people just may be on to something. For most of the past two days, I haven't been able to log on and stay on. Ping times alternate between 50 and 10,000ms... packet loss is incredible. I jump across the world when trying to step to my right. It's really annoying me, since I have stuff I really want to get done, and I can't.
Guys, what's going on?

Not sure if this is related, but, I can't get my inventory to download. At all. Hopefully today's server update will fix it.

We'll see in a few hours, I guess. It occurs to me that there were a lot more people complaining about network problems after the move to LL's new host... any wild speculation on that possibly fabricated piece of anecdotal hearsay?  |

Well, I've been having similar problems - not with disconnects, but with repeatedly finding my inventory won't download no matter how long I wait. Took me 3 relogs to get it yesterday, and it was a good 20 minutes arriving.
Also, I've been finding that if I go to a sim I haven't been to either in a while or ever, it just isnt downloading the stuff thats supposed to be there. Yesterday I stood in Perry on top of an invisible building for about 10 minutes. Saw nothing new appear, so relogged, only to find it exactly the same.

I've been getting massive packet loss too. Most of the time, my packet loss indicator is pegged at the top.
Occasionally my inventory won't download either.

My inventory often takes several minutes to load, if it loads at all. Building is a nightmare because the client is always out of synch with the server, making prims jump all over when I move them. Frequently get stuck -- I can see people moving around, but I can't chat or move. Can someone give those servers a swift kick?
