Which would you select, if it was your computer?
ATI Mobility RADEON™ HD 4670 – 1GB
or
NVIDIA® GeForce® 9400M G
I'm looking at two laptops. The one with the 4670 cards is cheaper overall. But if it doesn't run Second Life well, I will go with the NVIDIA! Based on a comment I just read (a couple of posts down), so far NVIDIA sounds better. Is it worth $100-200 more?
Thanks!

Thanks! NVIDIA, personally.. I find they just generally work better with SL (Among other things)

Mobile cards tend to have more issues with SL ATi Cards tend to have issues with SL
I would say go with ATi, ONLY if you want to double your chances of SL not working properly

The 9400M G is nowhere near as good as the 4670. It uses system memory v. dedicated memory (which is at least DDR2, but could be DDR3 or GDDR3), and runs slower overall. You may need to tweak settings in SL to get best performance, but it will make your overall computing experience much better. The closest mobile graphics from nVidia to the 4670 would be a 9700 GTS or an older 8800 GTS.
