My friend tped me to a region, (i think it was Magenta). But when i accepted, i lagged out, and returned to where i was (but i could'nt move or tp anywhere) so i logged out. When i logged back in it froze when going on 'Contacting/connecting to region', i waited for around 10-15 minutes, so i closed SL and opened it again, and it keeps doing it. What's wrong? :S

I do believe that hard SL crashes can corrupt the SL cache on your machine making future logins impossible. This is the first thing I'd check. There is a hidden folder inside your SL Program directory (Win) or in your ~/<something second lifeish> directory (Mac) called "cache" and deleting all files in this directory should fix the problem. Another, slightly easier, way of doing this is to reinstall SL which has the same effect.

Post again if you would like me to look up the real directories (yes, I'm feeling very lazy this morning).

From the signature of the ever Wise and Generous Catherine Omega:

Having trouble running SL? Here's how to fix it.

Hope this helps. Failing that you might wish to try support@secondlife.com but although generally helpful they do seem a bit overloaded of late, so more information posted to this thread may get you faster response.

Good Luck.

Ehm. That did'nt help at all.
I restarted a number of times, I cleared my cache/reinstalled Secondlife ,My sl client isn't crashing /doesnt say it crashes, SL isn't running slowly, and i can ping login.agni.lindenlabs.com.

All What happened was My friend TPed me to Magenta, It didnt let me load there, i returned to where i was, and SL froze. When i reloaded SL it froze on 'connection to region' and it keeps doing it, when i reload Secondlife.

Hmmm ok then, im gonna contact Secondlife.

Tommy, sorry this has been frustrating for you. The last remedy I know is to press the Preference button on the login splash screen. The first option that appears allows you to chose between logging into where you were last and "home". Pick whichever isn't picked and try one last time.

The bombing on "connecting to region" is my clue here.
