Just bought a new laptop hp with 1.6 mhz processor and a gig of memory. Video card is nvidia 6150.
I have a gig of memory but stupid vista eats 2/3rds of that and Sl chews up the rest. just those two take up 90% of memory when ran.
My graphics look good and except for poor fps (3-10 fps) I am pleased. Will droping an extra gig of ram improve this?
Thanks!

More ram = less harddrive swapping to virtual memory, so yes, especially under vista. No one should have under 1 gig nowadays, 2-4 is a huge diffrence + ram is dirt cheap , long as youre on a desktop anyway , 8 gig ram very cheap im even considering it (have 4 right now in 2 pc's) If im not wrong nvidia 6150 is a so called "turbocache" vid card with minimum ram, so it borrows ram from your pc when it needs more.
