SL wont start

ive been using sl for two years. but since last week it just wont start.
i had prob when changed to vista about a year agor - sl was crashing after 10 seconds connected - but this was worked out after a couple of months and i ran sl normally till last week.
now the window just opens black and nothing else happens. not even the login fields would come up, and then a "non responding" vista warning appears on top of the window, and the only way to close is thru ctrl-alt-del.
ive unistalled and reinstalled (version was 1.19) and today i uninstalled it again and installed v 1.20, but problem remains exactly the same.
ive been using onez as a solution and it runs well, but would like to go back to sl.

Instead of just ignoring or forcing people to have to go out and buy a whole new computer when simply upgrading is not possible?
Can you guyz create a seperate version of SL for systems that do not meet the new requirements?

that all depends on what you consider meeting the "new" requirements

ive got a desktop i biult in 2005, still runs SL just fine, maybe not as fast as it once did but still just fine (1.9ghz, 1gb ram, geforce 6600GT)

or i can take that same system slap in my old geforce 2 gts and run it just fine

ive also got a compaq, that barley meets the old system requirements, and it still runs SL, SLOW but just fine (pIII 866mhz, 512mb ram, ati radeion 9250)

99,999% of the time when someone does not meet the system requirements its not the system, its their video card, and if your on a desktop that can become a 20$ less than 10 minuet upgrade

i run a hp notebbok pavilio dv6345us eith 2gb ram and mobile intel 945 express chipset family video card. but i guess the point must be somewhere else because i ran sl on this computer normally since august 2007, and until 2 weeks ago.
now sl just doesnt start. it opens that first window, in black, before login fields would come up... and thats all.
then it says no responding... and keeps like this forever.
onrez runs normally.

until you can properly upgrade it maybe a memory ram or vram memory issue

but why would onrez run normally while sl just doesnt open?
