ok - so today i updated my gfx card from a geforce 2 - to a geforce 6600 gt.

i downloaded the new sl update - got rid of my old 1-18 perfectly working non windlighted one.

but all im seeing is crazy prims, filling my screen, so i cant see anything. people apart from their attachments keep going invisible.

i have lowered my settings unticked av imposters etc after speaking with friends.

all i want is the old sl back, so if anyone has a link for me that would be awesome. or who can help. this is driving me beyond insane. i dont even want the windlight one :/

I think that 6600 GT would work........even with Windlight (probably not fantasitic but it would work).

When you got rid of the old GF2 did you uninstall all the drivers associated with it? The go to nVidia's site and get the newest for your new card and install them? It sounds like a driver issue to me

And as for where you can get the older viewer I'm not sure...........but check the blogs it's buried in there somewhere.

sigh. still nothing - i found an old one to dl, but it then forced me to update.

i tried another viewer - onrez, i crash less, but i still get the crazy vanishing and prims - leaving me to need to relog a ridiculous amount of times. not only that, but i dont like the viewer either.

I remember trying the windlight versions before i swapped my gfx card and i got the same happen - so i doubt this can be a fault card. so if anyone at all can help me - below are a couple snapshots.

There is a stickied thread somewhere about nVidia cards that may have some useful info.

Also, the "current" nVidia drivers are notoriously problematic for various online games, and people often have success using older nVidia drivers. You could look in the threads and see what nVidia driver people are having success with and download that driver.

For example mine is:
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 7300 LE
Driver Version: 6.14.0010.8265 (English)
