I've seen this a couple of times, once on myself and once on someone else.

Sometime after playing with a scripted animation (llStartAnimation...) on your client everything is ok, the avatar is behaving normally, but on all other clients looking at you, the avatar keeps playing the animation in a loop.

This can get you some strange looks.
