Let's get right to it:
After building up-close with prims (within 0.5 meters from the camera or so) for ~15 minutes, my viewer begins to turn white when I resize objects. This only happens where there are prims, so I still see the sky, chat, the grid, etc. This is bad because..well, I can't build if everything turns white when I try to work with prims. Any help would be much appreciated!
Strami
EDIT: I have every setting set as high as it will go. SL crashes if they are any lower.

are you crashing when this white screen overwhelms your view? If you are then I would look at at my video settings on my card..............not the settings in SL. If not..........well, I guess I would check that too> Sorry, without some information about your system I'm afraid not many will have a much better guess.

Radeon x800 Core 2 Quad Core (2.4ghz)
It handles the white screen, never crashes, but I can't take it away by turning off some settings then turning them back on. The video card handles the max settings really well, and the white screen doesn't slow gameplay or anything.

More system information is needed.
You can get some of the useful information from the Help / About Second Life dialog.
What kind of video card, and what version of video driver, and exactly what version of SL are you using?
The more information about your system you provide, within reason, the more likely someone will be able to figure out your problem.
Having to turn all your options up in order to keep from crashing is quite odd.

After looking at/editing prims for the 15 minutes, it seems to just be set. I can edit the size from 1m or 20m away, I still see it. But only while changing size. I can move it around, rotate, etc. and it's alright. =P
How much more of the system do you need? Can anything else really be affecting the image?
Monitor: acer Plug-n-Play ummm, the case is black...there's a blue power button...

I'm just saying, will the version of speakers/mouse matter in this? I just don't understand how this white-ness can affect ONLY prim surfaces. As if the system can't render textures or something. Sorry if it came across as sarcastic =X

From: someone What kind of video card, and what version of video driver, and exactly what version of SL are you using? See above. Also how much video ram. See above about getting system info from Help / About Second Life in the SL interface. Also, a screenshot might be useful, if possible. When you say you have every setting as high as it will go, do you mean in SL's Preferences graphics tab, or in your video card driver settings ?

From: Pastrami Pestana ...........Monitor: acer Plug-n-Play ummm, the case is black...there's a blue power button... Monitor and case are irrevelant....I think you know that. Things like video card driver version, system RAM, video RAM, SL client viewer version, wireless home network, wireless modem connection, wired home network, wired modem, this is a computer on your work network, on a college network, Wifi, programs you are running in the background (if any), your settings for SL (maxed out 100% like you implied?), your graphics card settings (your card that is in your computer.....those settings) is this a laptop or desktop? Just little things, you know. Your problem is unique........and I believe it is real. But, we are as baffled as you. I've never read a post that discribes your problem. We do not have acess to your computer. We need to know as much as you can supply. I can tell you that there are some real whizzes that post on this forum.......I probably cannot help much. But are some here that can. Help them help you.

OK, it's just frustrating. But here's the list of RAM, versions, etc: CPU: Intel Core 2 Series Processor (2400 MHz) Memory: 2047 MB OS Version: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (Build 2600) Graphics Card Vendor: ATI Technologies Inc. Graphics Card: RADEON X800 Series 2GB RAM SL Version: 1.20.15 (92456) I also had the Automatic Edit Camera off. AND, before activating windlight, I had my settings lower. Then SL did something else after viewing/editing prims up close: The vertexes from prims and the environment would all attach to where the camera was locked. It doesn't occur(replaced by the white), but I have a screenshot: http://img258.imageshack.us/my.php?image=crazyboxesyr4.jpgI hope this helps! Thank you all for your time, btw. I was in a rush when I first posted this, so I apologize for the mix-ups. I hope this ends up helping others in the future.

What version video driver are you using? What version of Catalyst?
How are your Graphics settings set in SL?
In Catalyst you could try setting the 3D settings as follows:
Standard settings : use custom settings. Anti-Aliasing: use applicaton settings Adaptive Antialiasing: leave it unchecked Anistropic Filter: Use Application Setting Catalyst A.I.: Disable Catalyst A.I. Mipmap Detail Level: Performance
In SL Graphics set Quality and Performance to High or Mid.
Also, clear your cache. Never hurts to clear your cache.

Hi i got some questions too 1- On what level are you building? Is that groundlevel or high up in a skybox or so? 2-What mobo do you have? Does it have it best BIOS? 3-Since when you have this VGA card and upgraded with what drivers from where? 4-You tried the new release candidate 1.21 already and do you have the same problem then? 5-Are there any programs you run at the same time/ in the background?
