Since I got a new computer with Vista a while ago, I've noticed my fps buckling in periodically for no apparent reason. Now I think I've found the culprit: it's the Vista SearchIndexer that steals my ressources from SL whenever it kicks in. Does anyone have an idea how I can prevent that from happening? Thanks a lot!

You could always just turn indexing off altogether, if you're sure it's giving you problems. You'll find the indexing settings in Control Panel.

Thanks Chosen. I'd like to try not going quite as far as turning it off altogether. For the time being, I've edited my energy settings and set everything to High execept for the Indexer, which I set to energy saving. So far it seems that has helped.
