My SL Crashed just now right after i downloaded it and installed it.  my friends wanted me to play SL with them too, so whenever they're far from me, we all meet up in one community help please |

Well can you relog, crashing is a common thing, especially when the grid is stressed, and it is right now. There's a huge party inworld, and the connection server can get stressed when a lot of people try and log on. But I crash quite a bit anyway, it has become part of what I expect to be normal. I would recommend booting up Secondlife, hit CRTL P. And open your preferences, goto the GRAPHICS tab and set your slider to low, for the time being anyway. That will at least get you in, under the lowest settings, but most of us live at that setting lately.
I can tell you that you need at the least 1 GIG of RAM, preferably 2 GIGS. And at the least a 256 meg video card, preferably a 512-1GIG video card is really recommended. If you don't meet these mins then you really won't be able to log on.
