No specific fixes for SL, but some fixes for other games running on the OpenGL platform, as well as a ton of fixes for multiple display problems.
I'm about to install it for my Radeon 9200 PRO, and I'll report the results after testing it with both the 1.1 and 1.2.

Keeping in mind that your mileage may vary, here's my experience with the new Radeon driver on a 9200 Pro 128DDR:
Cat 3.10 seemed no different in SL 1.1 than the 3.9 version; no difference in stability or rendering speed, and no new problems either.
In the 1.2 Preview, 3.10 actually produced a 10-20% faster frame rate, but that may have been because I had to keep the VRAM setting at 32mb. Changing it to 64mb immediately produced black banding (this was with AGP enabled and Avatar Vertex disabled). I was usually able to keep VRAM at 64mb with the 3.9 driver without significant banding. No other differences between the drivers were noticeable.
It's important to note that I can't test Bump mapping in 1.2 because those options are still grayed out. The Bump and Shine worked well in 1.1 though. All other video options worked fine in 1.2 (I can't comment on water bump mapping because the 9200 can't handle that).

I'm downloading the new drivers right now, I'll install them and try them out in a few minutes and post a report.
I'm not going to dare turn on AGP Hardware Acceleration however as I am still scared to turn it on because of the frequent crashing it had caused before.
However I am interisted to see if it improves and/or messes up anything else with my system. A problem I'm hoping it'll fix is the Avatar Vertex problems I have currently.
My graphics card is a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb

Nope, 3.10 seems to work exactly the same, I still have problems with Avatar Vertex (whenever i turn it on avatars look like they've been sprayed with orange ecto-plasm) in 1.1 and 1.2. I don't really notice an FPS change, or any significant differences in anything else.

I haven't seen anything like that since the 1970's. Of course, everything looked like that to me in those days...can't quite remember why though.

Lol, maybe my Avatar Vertex button doubles as a Time Warp Trippy Adventure button

I guess you really do get what you pay for... The only distortion my 9200 gets with Vertex enabled is the usual white hair fringe. But strangely, I get about 25% lower fps with Vertex enabled than without it. So I leave it off. Yup, ATI Radeon...an adventure in every pixel.

Oz, I have a 9800 SE (The cheaper and slower but same core chipset).
I get the EXACT same effect that you do.
But it only happens when I turn on Avatar Bump Mapping. I have Avatar Vertex Programming on all the time without any problems.
Just wanted to let you know because personally I'd rather trade Avatar Bump Mapping(skin and clothing wrinkles) for Vertex Programming (cloth and hair movement).
FYI
To get stable performance I had to turn off,
AGP Acceleration Avatar Bump Mapping Ripple Water Effect Anitrophic Filtering Tree Lighting Video Memory set to 32MB (my card had 128 MB but ohh well)
Everything else is basically on.

Yeah that's basically what I've done, although I might have it set to 64mb.
