Can someone tell me the target code on the launcher or how to run two SL browsers/avatars at one time? I have been trying to figure this out but unable to. I have two avatars and would like the freedom to transfer items between them. Thank you.

add the -multiple switch to your executable as in:
"G:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -multiple Using this as my default shortcut, I can run up to 11 simultaneous SL clients, as shown here: http://baartman.us/images/ Then look for this file: 11_SL_Instances.doc |

or download sl onrez client, and then run regular sl client and onrez client.

There's a debug setting, AllowMultipleViewers, which might serve your purpose.
Can you still download the onrez viewer? Is it still being updated? Doesn't seem like it would be. _____________________

On Windows, I recommend duplicating the SL shortcut, renaming the duplicate to whatever you want, and then adding "--multiple" to the end of the target line in the shortcut Properties. Omit the quotes, and this text goes OUTSIDE the quotes in the target, as shown above.
Here's why. Using any of the above methods, you have to do it over again every time you download a new version of SL. If you use my method, you only have to do it once. (Actually, once per viewer version you use, e.g., onrez, release candidate, beta grid.) Also, I saw reports that "--multiple" didn't work, but "-multiple" did, so if the former doesn't work, try the latter. |
