Hello. first: Sorry for my bad english. I Am from germany Now my problem: I updated my computer. with MS vista 64 bit and a Zotac Geforce GTX260 Graphic card. Now i have problems with my SL. many clothes in my inventory are now wrong. now i havbe T-shirts with long arms and it seems, i'm wearing gloves with the same texture like the shirt... if i'm wearing socks, it looks like pantyhose or tight pants. same thing with some shoe-shaps... Is that because the new card? or because windows vista 64 bit? it is strange that other people see my avatar with the same problems... when i log in from my laptop, everything is all right... has someone a solution for my problem? or must i wait for a new version? The viewer said at installation, that he doesn't know my grafic adapter..... Oky... it's a brand new card...

This sounds like the same problem described in Second Life's bug reporting system at http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-7957, which I found by going to Google and using GTX260 and "second life" as the search terms. You might want to go to the bug reporting site, which we call the issue tracker or "the jira", and vote for the issue and add a comment. I don't think I saw a solution there. You might try different versions of SL such as the regular viewer, the release candidate, older viewers, or third party viewers such as the Nicholaz viewer. You might also try using some older video drivers. Also, you might try using the video card's software to set all settings to performance, and see what happens, and also try using the video card's software to set all options to "Let the application decide". Some things to fiddle with would be VBO's, avatar hardware skinning, and checking other sources of info on the web.

I also had this problem when upgrading to beta nvidia drivers with the latest version of sl. Bizarrely to fix you need to click appearance/skin/makeup and under the nail polish setting reduce it to pink and no more problem. Hope this helps.

From: SuezanneC Baskerville When I use "the German version of Google" I do get the jira issue in the results: That's at url http://www.google.de . Is that the url that someone in Germany uses for Google? yes. of course. the most sites with the ending "de" are from germany. The initials stand for "deutsch". this is german speech and means "german". google is in many countrys. for example "google.at" is at austria. but the people in germany and austri don't say "austria". We and they say "Österreich (Oesterreich". There are many other initials for google. But what can it do for the grafic problem?
