Yes. Currently, I believe the overlap is about 1 meter, 0.5 meters on each side. If you place a 0.5 meter prim on each side of the line, making sure that they are intersecting with each other and are not in the same sim, it should cover the phantom area.

It *could* be 1 meter on each side, in that case, just make the prims extend 1 meter over the line.

For an example, look at the walkway at the Welcome area where Ahern and Morris meet. Unless you were looking for it, you wouldn't notice that it spans two sims.

thanks guys, i've been working on it and was about to give up.. think you may have helped out greatly :)

i'll go check that site out.. see how they did it

ok... :( went to the welcome area, they have some prim along the boarder, however, since its so close to the surface, not many notice, that it does in fact phantom. my feet sunk right thru. i will just have to work around this issue some other way.

thanks for the help guys..

You have to have TWO prims, one on each side of the border, and they need to overlap. That will work.

My experience when I was building Planet Rainbow across two sims was that you should do that following things for EVERY walkable surface:
1) Have a prim on each side of the boundary that touch exactly at the boundary
2) Lay two prims, one on each side of the bondary, such that they start in one sim but go substanially over into the other sim. This requires a little care but once you've done it once, you'll figure it out
3) Make sure that the bit the just into the other sim is AT LEAST 3M. I'm not sure why it has to be that big, but I definetly saw movement glitches when it was less than that

Be warned that some things, like Danc-o-matics, may not work if you attach on one side of the boundary and walk over to the other side. Be also warned that if you are crave been on the leaderboard, you dwell ratings will be split by sim.
