Vision is blurred

Not sure where I can post this, so here goes.

I was using an alternate viewer and got my vision blurred. I then logged into the regular viewer after removing any attachments that might have caused the issue and had the same problem. I also have the same problem on alternative characters. The issue is not affecting my characters when I log in via another computers. The blurred vision is only affecting my view of the world. My chat boxes, menus, inventory, etc are all fine. Taking a snapshot produces a clear picture. The blurred effect is akin to a pixelated effect on a photo, making it extremely hard to read anything inworld.

I have ruled out that an attachment/clothing is affecting my vision, likewise with the version of viewer. I have looked extensively online and on my character and I have not been able to find what is causing this issue.

My question, summed up: Where is the setting that affects just your character's view of the world and how might I change it?

It might be the anti-aliasing setting, which is in Preferences / Graphics / Hardware Settings.

What is the anti-aliasing set at?

A screenshot might help tell what the problem is.

You might try deleting your settings.xml file.

Or you could do Advanced / Debug Settings and set everything that starts with Render to default.

There is a debug setting called RenderResolutionDivisor that will make the world view pixellated. Default value is 1.

I'll have to post a screenshot tomorrow. I'm on a computer that doesn't have the problem, but if I can't get it fixed by setting all the render values to default, I'll post a picture and we'll go from there.

It might be faster and easier to delete the settings.xml file, which would set all the debug settings to default values.

Typical locations for the settings.xml files are:

Linux: ~/.secondlife/user_settings/

XP C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Application Settings\SecondLife\user_settings

Vista C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife\user_settings)

MAC: browse to (users home directory will vary) : [users home directory] > Library > Application Support > Second Life. Navigate into the "user_settings" folder.
