I just set up dual monitors on my desktop. Had to reinstall the graphics drivers for my Nvidia 7900 GS and everything has gone smoothly except that i now notice the land texture under water is black. :/ Is there an easy fix for this? I've been looking for an option I thought was in SL, something about estate water.. but I can't find it now... but perhaps it is a graphics cards setting i need to change...

Thanks for suggestions.

Yep try swapping your monitors plugs over, and make the secondary the primary, I get the same problem if I plug them in wrong.

TY Teg. I made the right monitor the "main" monitor according to windows, and i'm still having the problem. soo i'll try switching the plugs and see if that fixes it.

well... i switched the plugs, the monitor i want to see SL on is the main monitor, and ground underwater is still black :/ i've relogged computer and SL numerous times... *sighs*
i suppose i could try reintsalling the drivers. but that is a hassle, especially if it's not going to fix it.

Yeah the black texture bug seems to be only somthing that happens with dual monitors. I know at one stage it looked like I was going to have to change my desk for one with the drawers on the leftside as my big screen only worked on the right side in dual view :/ somehow I got around that with plugging/unplugging and playing around with the NVIDIA settings primary/secondary and rscreen properties in windows, also try a full unplug the computer reboot as I've seen a few things lately like com card problems and touch screens that a softwaer power off wouldn't reset.

I thought the black textures are the new grey, so to speak. That the loading or lost texture is now black. There have been a few posts about lost textures, that sort, all weekend.

finally a few days ago i saw textures under water. yay! i did have to make my "main" the left monitor, but it didn't seem to fix it at first... then a couple days later, it seemed to have fixed itself.. possibly i finally did a full shutdown or something. anyway, thanks for the help Tegg! :D
