Just…wow im so happy SL finally got a lot of options \o/ this is what we wanted for awhile and its here , thank you LL : )

warning entering your own uuid/sounds/ect
doesnt seem to work
-- it will make it state TRUE and dont do anything --

any debug that has values / selections does work



Why would I bother with this?

Oh boy… this thing can change A LOT of current SL settings youd want to do it : > , 90% of them are already in various menus tho so you can find them there to, but theres a lot of them that’s insanely usefull

How do it get debug mode ?

1.Look at upper toolbar you have these normally

2.File / edit / view / world / tools / help

3.Now press ctrl-alt-d

4.You will get 2 more

5.File / edit / view / world / tools / help /client / server

6.The one you want to mess with is in client / debug settings, there is a huge list there, search for it or scroll crazy



My recommended things in debug you should take a look at,

these are VERY helpful to change or disable \

( yes im a builder so im abit biased to it : P )

Note since it only client side other will still see things you disable


AFKtimeout
Time before automatically setting AFK (away from keyboard) mode (seconds)

some things here and there,
prob changed alot of its text descriptions since i last looked at this, i know there alot of new debug settings thats not here, like DefualtHighlightLight/dark also a handy thing to change.

I wrote this manually when it was added a debug, eons ago, and im sooo not looking through entire thing again, LL need to give out this -.o would be very nice to have a page with every debug setting and what they do.

- i just removed the Highlight things (shadows you get when doing things) and good thing i found it, hated that thing :O

You must restart client to any changes to take effect

Excellent. But, being the newb that I am, I have a question pertaining to the font parameters listed in the second portion of your, (the OP's), post ---

Basically, what I'm trying to do is to figure out which of these parameters contains the font type for notecards so that I may attempt to swap out that font type with a monospace one so that I may line up text correctly. I'd also like to kick the size of that font down to an 8. Is it possible to do something like this with these parameters listed? And, will it damage the client if so?

I've already asked several more knowledgeable SLRs than myself, as well as Live Help, and even a Liaison.

If I could get an answer to these questions it would be wonderful.

Also, while I'm thinking about it - the parameters listed, especially the ones I'm questioning about - is it possible to change these on the fly via a script?

You could change the FontSansSerif setting to profontwindows.ttf, the font that is normally used for monospaced parts of the interface. This will affect the text in the buttons and other places which would normally be using the normal proportional Meta font. It's a bit funky looking. Doing this won't affect what other's see when they read your notecard, though, if that's what you are looking for.

The ShowParcelOwners setting is very useful people shopping for land... instead of an orange highlighted border, you see an orange lawn on any land that is for sale.

please define as:
Highlight the entire surface of each parcel with a color according to its for-sale status
By default:
Red lawn = Linden or player owned, not for sale.
Orange lawn = for sale at set price
Purple lawn = for auction
Green lawn = you own it
Light Blue lawn = your group owns it

On edit: you can change these highlight colors, but i forget what settings control them. I'll post here when I find out. Most useful to change the red to something not so bright. I think the alpha can be changed, too... so red, private land, doesnt get highlighted at all, if you want.
I wish the settings would stick.

i usually change that one to make SL change my prim colors on map by adding ;

SL has a " Reload personal setting overrides"ctrl-shift-2 ,
but im not to sure what it does o.o

minimap cyan colour change?

I would like to change the colour of the minimap which shows my objects in a cyan colour to something which has contrast against avatar T's.
Currently the "T" of avs is green and is barely visible against the cyan of my objects.
However, at times, it does change kind of randomly, sometimes on a teleport for instance, and is very good but does not last for some reason.

I have tried to find it in debug settings and on this page.. It's extremely annoying.

There must be a setting somewhere.. please point me.
btw, running linux but a pointer to windows users might be handy too, if it's in a config file.

Sorry, still can't find it.
Ones above are for the main map not minimap.
If I can find out which line in the debug settings list is relevant to the cyan colour on the minimap it will be most helpfull.
I don't think it's there
