SL Turned Me Into A She-Man, WTF?

Yes, I logged in today to see a message that said something along the lines of "replaced body parts/objects that were missing".

Ok, so I checked to see if anything was missing/replaced. First I noticed that the base for my hair was changed (from black to brown), so I changed it back with no problem.

I was putting on a prim skirt when I noticed something. It didn't fit. Actually I looked a little thicker than usual....and shorter....OMG my shoulders are fricking "man" huge! My head has shrunk! My face shape is completely different! I have no ass! What the hell is going on here!

So I look into my inventory for my body shape, and yes I was wearing the shape I usually wear. No problem, I'll open appearance and exit without saving. I exited and no saving option appeared. I'm screwed.

What the hell happened? Please tell me....panda won't hump me now... *cries* Thank goodness he has a copy of my original shape, now he can hump...himself?...in the meantime...but what about ME?!

Anyone who met me can say how much of the HAWTNESS I am! But now I have nothing to live for! Halp!

I implore you to help Arbel in her time of need. I took a snapshot of her right before the database problem, in case anyone finds the missing bodyshape:

See how sexy I was?! *sniff* Panda couldn't take his hands off of meh! Now he cuddles in a corner holding himself singing, "Rain Rain Go Away" but replacing the words with, "Ugly Bitch Go Away".... I'm so heartbroken....

Ok, now I am getting sick and tired of this. This whole body shape replacement situation is getting old and aggravating. First time I had this problem, I just got a copy from panda, problem solved.

Last night I logged in, it happened again. Got another copy.
Logged in during lunch today. I'm stuck as a cromagnum woman once again.

Panda won't be here all the time to give me a copy of my own shape, so I need this to be fixed, please. No one is even posting what the problem could possibly be.

Hey Arbel, I think I've had this problem a few times after teleporting and having it go all WRONG. I don't want you sent back to Panda all primitive, and I've noticed that packet loss or other dropped signal in some cases exacerbates the issue because it's kinda like the system is looking for the right you but ends up finding a warped, twisted bizarro you... aka being "Ruthed" since you revert to the default shape, or something close to that.

I'd recommend that you store copiable backup shapes in a folder -- at least then you can replace them quicker (altho granted, getting them passed from Panda may be a romantic gesture).

And in line with the cheeky photoshot up there, do you have some snaps of your own, Arbel, of what you look like after it happens? It may help.

Sure, Torley, I'll get pics as soon as I get back from work. I was supposed to put some up earlier, but I forget to take shots of myself in the hideous form.

But I know what you are talking about. And I know the default shape, but the shape that I have now, is not even close to the default. At least it would look more feminine if it was.

This happened to me once and after a particularly bad crash; the kind that freezes your whole computer up. It was the result of a security script encountered while flying. I always wondered if it was a part of the script but had no way of knowing where the source was. Since then, I've noticed slight changes to occur but not to the same extent. I went through and noted all my settings for reference. I don't have any solutions or explanations, sorry.
Why does Panda have your backup copy? Why can't you keep your own?

Before all of this happened, I gave panda a copy of my shape for a project he was working on.

Ever since the start of this, the new body shape saves over my old one, and renames it "New Shape" in my inventory.

The first time it happened, and he gave me a copy, and yes, I should have made more copies of my own, but at that time I didn't think it would happen again.

Second time it happened (yesterday), and he gave me a copy, I was only online for a short time and didn't think about it.

Now today, when panda gives me a copy, I'll MAKE SURE that there is a folder full of dozens and dozens of copies, so I won't have to bother him with it.

Luckily, I'm fickle enough to change avatars all the time so I had multiple backups of my body shape.

Go into your appearance then close it. When it asks you to save, say NO. See if that helps.

That was the first thing I did, as stated in my first post.

I exited Appearance and there was no saving option window.


Now I have a folder full of copies of my body shape in my inventory. Hopefully this won't happen again....
