His Grace wants to hold some events on FairChang Island but he told me it is not listed on the pull down when posting on the events calendar.

I duly filed a bug report and got this answer from Kelly

"Thank you for your report. With 1.5 only the owner of an estate can create an event for that estate. This means that only you should be able to see it on the list of sims to add an event. Anyone who can access the island will be able to see the event in the finder in world."

Soooo! I am the only one who can hold an event? This is kinda crippling. Not even my SL husband and partner Garth can hold and event on our island? Eeeekkk! That was our big plan when buying the island. Having Regattas, boat races, etc etc etc.

I know,, the answer is going to be that I can create the event for them, but then I have to file the reports and I receive the Linden funding.

Since FairChang Island is group enabled, shouldn't all group members have the ability to post an event on the calendar? Not just me.

I work for a few people as an event coordinator, it would severely limit my business if I couldn't post/host events for them. They're not usually interested in all the work that goes along with an event.

I agree, members of a group should have this privilege.

they should give estate owners more control over the permissions people have. like: can use the estate menu, and can post events.

Great news! This 'glitch' has been fixed. Thanks to Jeska Linden for responding so rapidly.

A letter went out to the *Estate Owners explaining how it works.

Thank you, thank you.
