Everytime i start the game and log in about half way through the log in screen the game crashes any idea why?

prob be your computer specs........check your pc is at least the min standard quoted on the sl website. If u post your specs from pc properties, I am sure some wise person will say if at least u r sl compatible.

Windows Xp media
NVidia Gforce8600GT
Intel Pentium Dual D core 3.2
2 gigs of ram (patriot i beleive)
with a dsl hookup

Can anyone tell me if those are good enough to run it? Also when loading it gets to "loading Multimedia" which is software if im not mistaken any ideaa?

Your specs are adequate.
If you have Microsoft's Silverlight installed you might try uninstalling it.
You might try updating Quicktime, if that's not up to date, or uninstalling Quicktime, and see if that makes any difference.

My computer wont let me uninstall quicktime and it wont let me update it...odd... but i dont think i have silverlight because i dont know what it is lol so if there is any other suggestions im open

Microsoft might have tricked you into installing Silverlight while you weren't paying attention.
What do mean exactly that you can't uninstall or update QT? That sounds bad, especially with your reporting the error as having the word Multimedia in it.

That is exaclty what i mean i go to add/remove programs hit quicktime and choose remove it goes through the process then when its almost done an error pops up saying there was a "fatal error during instalation"
and when i try to update i get a similar error

Do you have any anti spyware software installed on your computer? If you don't then you really need to go some. Spyware blaster, Adware and Windows defender are a few to look at. If you do have some then run a complete scan of your system. While you're at it an anti virus scan might be a good thing to do,.
If all that comes up clean then you are probably looking at some registry issues. Not being able to uninstall a program is not normal at all. Unless you are not the Administrator of the computer.........hmmm, are you?
