I am really really IRKED that LL would state that SL is UP on their website. There is a single post in the announcements forum stating they know there is a problem, but that update is over 8 hours old!

Can't we have some status? WHEN will be getting back online, there must be TONS of us in this shape...

(end of rant)...

STATUS is the name of the page,

I was stating that I believe it should be just that. For the multitude of people who could not get back into SL, I think LL should have addressed it.

I run a large network , when a portion of it is down (ie. email, printing etc) we endeavor to let people know. This affirms them that they are not crazy, gives them a timeline to resumption of service, acknowledges that people are working on it, and makes you look like you know what you're doing.

I think status should be status - just a 2 cents thing from a frustrated person, glad you were able to join in the 1.5 fun, but many of us still cant.

Every portion of the service was available to me.

If you wanted more detail than the status page, that's what the annoucement forum is for.

geez man,

i generally agree with most stuff that you post - but I just have to disagree with you here.

LL KNEW that there were issues with many people's logins, and they also must KNOW that users look to that page (as they are INSTRUCTED to when users can't login within the client). It's not hard to post that SOME users may be having difficulty!

And I challenge that all services were available to you, since many sims were experiencing errors. You weren't for example, able to access my vendors in callisto - I have reports of that, it was ALL WATER.

I'm really not looking for any trouble here, I simply think they are obliged to post more than the placating 'everything's fine' message on their staus page, if the staus is otherwise. I can find you a minimum of 150 players who will agree that staus was otherwise...

That all said, I hear what you're saying, and I obviously followed that path into the forums to hear what people were saying - it'd be nice to hear if from them though, instead of other trapped outside the box players like myself.

I wish they'd just put more details into the status page. It's not like it's any harder to update that than to post a forum post.

In fact, it's probably easier, if they've done it correctly.

Sometimes I just can't take the time to log in and pile through the Announcements forum because the status page says "It's open" and I can't log in. Or it says "It's closed" and I want to know why.

So rather than take an extra 15 seconds to read the "why" on a status page, I have to take an extra couple minutes to log in yadda.

Unless for some reason LL doesn't want people to publicly see that, it's stupid.
