Ok check this out...

SL v1.10 -
Crashes to desktop every minute or so. LL support tell me to reinstall my graphics drivers and change where I log in. I reinstall my graphics drivers (2nd time that week), changed where I logged in, and it kept happening. I decide to wait it out for v1.11.

SL v1.11 -
Crashes more frequently, I send another support request to LL. They tell me reinstall my graphics drivers. I reply saying "done that already", they tell me even though I've done it I should do it again... 8 driver reinstalls later... I decide to wait for 1.12 to come out.

SL v1.12 -
Crashes seemed to have slowed down, but have also changed from crashing to desktop, to blue screen/reset. To be honest I prefered crashing to desktop, but frankly I just don't care anymore.

What the hell is going on?

I just recently started crashing with this version and it really sucks! Seems to happen when I'm changing avatars and sit on something quickly, then BAM..crash. Or sometimes when I use a HUD it also sends me crashin. It never did before...yay for me ;P

System specs would be useful. Model of computer, processor and video card, amount of ram and video ram, operating system, stuff like that, etc.

I've just tried uninstalling my GeForce 6800 GT drivers from device manager, using DriverCleaner Pro, downloading the latest ones from Nvidia, and installing them again... and I did the same with my Audigy.

It's still crashing :(

I've noticed that it's not so bad the first time I log in after turning my PC on, but I'll crash within about 10 minutes easily. After that I'm lucky if I stay on for 5, until I turn my computer off and do a cold boot.

Do you think it's a bug in Second Life or is it something else with my PC?

Crashing on My System too.

I just installed Second Life on my AMD64 system, with a great NVIDIA card, latest XP SP2 + all patches, and latest NVIDIA drivers, but I get a BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH on the Video Driver sometimes and othertimes, the computer just crashes and restarts.

Sounds like the same kind of problem you all are having.

I can't figure out from the XP Error Log, anything useful.

I too have been crashing badly, and changed vid card drivers back and forth thinking that was the cause. I then started to think about what I was doing every time I crashed and it was using the mouse! First I went into the bios and switched from usb 2.0 to 1.1, and the crashes slowed. I then downloaded the new logitech mouse drivers for my usb mouseman, and I have been on all morning clicking away trying to make it crash and not one! So I hope this is the problem solved for me... and maybe it will help some of you all out too!

Oh, I had the MS mouse drivers installed... I replaced them with the new logitech ones!

Ginty.
