Hi, I have a Gateway laptop with an ATI Radeon Xpress 200M internal graphics card which of course is not supported by SL. My question is.... is there an external graphics solution, perhaps in the form of a PCMCIA card or USB device that will disable the onboard 200M card and allow me to access SL from my laptop? SL tech support is no help what-so-ever, saying they can't advise on technical issues.... lol... sort of what i thought they were there for but... i digress.

Anyway I will go out today and get a card if there is one that will do the trick.

Linden Labs will only help with software issue and in rare cases, give you an insight on hardware related issues, they will usually send you to the "supported hardware page" or to this subforum.

This was proposed once i think they had produced a PC express card that connected to a box that encased a GPU, but the problem was that it had to be connected to an outside monitor. I doubt you can find it, as it was only experimental and not many were produced. So i would say download a viewer such as the coolviewer netbook edition or buy a new laptop.

There is an external graphics adapter for expresscard, but it only feeds an external monitor.
