Hi I'm new here and when I first started I heard about another viewer for SL, OnRez. My question simply is; which viewer is the better one to use? Specifically, which one runs faster? Which one is easier to use/has more features?

OnRez is basically a "Dumbed down" version of the regular viewer. Lots of features are hidden that would normally be accessible on the regular viewer.
The Electric Sheep Company originally designed it to be aimed at people with less technical skills, essentially making it easier for new SL users to be able to understand.
It is said that it uses less resources then the regular viewer, so it may be a tab bit faster.

Keep in mind that if you use OnRez, It may be considerably harder to get any kind of support with any problems you may have. As most volunteers have no experience with it.

The regular viewer is just that, the original fully featured Second Life viewer. Maintained by Linden Lab.

Many other versions of the Client can be found at: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Alternate_viewers
Though all of them are based closely on Linden Lab's original code.
