I own Taeja Vu Designs Furniture Gallery and I have had it listed in the FIND directory since the store has been in existence several months ago.
Today I tried looking up my main store under the keyword 'Furniture' and I had the 'include places in mature regions box checked' because my store is in a mature sim. I had 'Any Category' and 'Any Sim' selected for locations and I did a search. I wasn't able to find my store anywhere. But when using 'Tae' or any other word in the description of the store as a keyword, the store pops right up.
I tried taking the store out of the FIND directory and putting it back in again, nothing. I even tried name variations to change things around a bit..still nothing.
I don't know if it makes a difference, but I am a member of Galleria City and Taeja Vu Designs of Galleria City is listed but not Taeja Vu Designs Furniture Gallery. Could it be possible that the same store cannot be listed twice on the same directory? Please let me know. Any and all posts welcome.

unfortunately, I have noticed that the "find" function in places/events/peopple seems to function better with less information than more, if you get too particular in your search criteria, it doesn't work well at all.

I have been experiencing the same type of issue regarding the the find places feature. Not only is it loading more slowly, it is giving back inaccurate search information. When I type in "mall", it takes 3 or 4 times before it will find 3 of my properties.
Less specific is NOT better when you are looking for your own properties.

Find is a totally useless feature for the most part.
Very, very often I find that someone I look up isnt even listed when I use their name... yet they are actually online right then.
My land variously doesnt show up - even Krittannia has failed to exist in find some days.
Do a search on a keyword and return no results. Close find, reopen and do the same search, get 20 results. Close, reopen and do the same search again, get 50 results.
I've actually searched for 'Kris' before, and not been listed myself!

Some of the searches (places, people and groups) are limited to 100 search results. If you search for too common a phrase then only the first 100 results are shown. I do not know the order they are returned in but it is not alphabetical.
Kris,
If you have some exact steps I can take to reproduce that I would be very interested in them. What I would want is the exact string you search for, which tab you search under and the order you do it in. My search results are the same every time I search. Also let me know how other boxes are checked (online, show mature places etc).
