Second Life Time Sync Issue

I'm running Windows Vista, and I'm connected to an internet based time synchronization. The time on my computer is 100% accurate, however, Second Life time fluctuates between 7-10 minutes ahead of what the time should be.

Whenever I alter the time on my computer, it also alters SLT and causes it to always be approximately 7-10 minutes ahead. Despite everything I have tried so far, I haven't been able to find a way to have both times be accurate. If SL is fluctuating only when I change my computer's time, that would mean it is syncing from my computer; so why isn't it identical time?

Example: Right now, my clock says 7:53 EST, and SL time is stating as 5:03 SLT, 10 minutes off. If I change my computer time to 7:30 EST, SL goes to 4:40. The minutes never match.

Does anyone know what is causing this alteration in time to fluctuate? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
