Hi, I dont know if this is the right place to post this or not, but here goes: My issue is that when I log into my SL, it runs smoothly and lag free, with no problems at all, but after some time, like from 15 to 30minutes, it starts to get slower and slower, lagging more and more till I really have no other option than relog my SL just to start this cycle all over again.. I don't think I have a bad computer either, and all my graphic options are set to low... has anyone had this trouble before? Tips on how to solve this? Thankyou.

I am seeing the very same thing. I'm starting to wonder if it might be my new video drivers that I just installed. I have an older ATI 1900 card and I installed the Catalyst 8.11 drivers (following the instructions to the letter, BTW). Now, after making ZERO changes to my graphics settings in game, I can stay on for about 30 minutes then it starts to slow down, as in, I cannot pan my camera, turning around is painfully slow, typing in spatial chat is delayed beyond belief, etc etc. The viewer footprint always seems to be up above 1Gb when I look at the Statistics display in the viewer. I see all of these newer features in the new drivers that I'm wondering if the drivers are not playing nice with SL. So, bottom line here is... Yeah. I'm having the same issues as you and cannot figure it out.

Boo! Hey Bri, this post is already old, but since I found out a solution, I'll post it here so if you still need help or someone else comes across this post and finds it useful.
Trick is, go to your Preferences (Ctrl+P) > Graphics > Hardware Options > Draw your Texture Memory to 128, it makes you cache less textures at once, my SL runs lag free and nearly no more random FPS drops anymore. :d Hope it helps.
