heya all... it's not really a show-stopping bug, but it is annoying. When loading up textures, my client sometimes ends up showing textures with flashy strips of random colors going through them... it's kinda hard to explain. For instance, with the default wood block texture, sometimes I'll get a green tinted line going through it. But when I get closer, it seems to go away.. it sorta fades in and out depending on my distance.

Any ideas?

I don't know the solution but I get this too all the time on my Radeon 9700 Pro. Weird green pixelated noise corruption on some textures... it seems to happen after i've been in-world for a while. I've found hitting alt-enter to switch between windowed and full-screen mode clears it up temporarily. But it usually comes right back a bit later somewhere.

I think its a driver issue with the latest Catalyst drivers...

That indicates an error in the graphic cards texture ram. Though it might be the driver causing this, it's also quite likely to be hardware failure, maybe just due to too much heat.

Sounds like a driver to me though, usually hardware failures cause more severe bugs, and also aren't quite this localized.

Yeah, I get the same problem, Its really a bummer to walk up to your home with all your custom textures on it and only see some wierd matrix-ish corrupted stuff plastered everywhere.

I assume its got to be driver-related since the problem doesn't appear with an earlier driver version (3.1)

i used to get this problem about every 20 minutes, and i'd have to relog if i wanted anything to look right. updating to the newest drivers almost totall fixed it for me. occaisionally i see faint stripes in things, but the old texture is till there over it, and it goes away very quickly.
