Missing all clothes from inventory

Hi, I just logged in SL after a week away and when I try wearing any clothing from my inventory the message pops up saying "failed to find clothing named _____ in database". Also, anything I try buying doesn't show it's contest when I click buy on a container box.
Have been playing for over a year now and never had any problems like these before. I have a lots of clothes I bought and would hate to see them gone. Any advice on what had happened and how to get my items back? Thanks!

Ok, I got some of my items back but most of them are still missing, now mainly body parts, hair, furniture etc. If someone has any idea what to do, or whom to contact, please reply.

Did you try clearing your cache and re-logging?

I also have a problem..my chimera from Owenimations (dancing machine) with 15 dances from Sinewave in it is missing from database! (Al together is costs about L$ 5.000,-). Iam really very upset about this. I already cleared cashe and relogged. It is still in my inventory but if i want to wear it it says its missing from database. Can some-one please tell me what i can do to get it back. I tried to find an emailadres at Linden Support to tell that my chimera is missing but i can't find it anywere. I hope some-one can help me. Next time start your own thread.

Right click on the object in your inventory and pick copy UUID. paste this somewhere and save it.

go to http://secondlife.com/community/support.php and click "submit a ticket" on the right side.

Follow the instructions. In the body of your ticket explain that an item in inventory can not be rezzed and generates the error "missing from database". then include the UUID I explained above.

I already found out about the ticket. I got a fast reply from Linden with tips about clearing cache. Unfortunately with no succes. After this Linden tried to get it back for me also no succes. Hope others have more luck! Greetings, Linsey Jewell

This happened to me this week too, I posted a thread as well. It is a cache issue. I lost about 8000 textures, cleared my cache, even try downloading the alternate client. That got me back 100% of my inventory. The other client that is, its on the main download page, UNDER the normal client download.

ok this happened to me about 2 weeks ago and I called LL they walked me through this and it worked in fact I found a couple of things i did not know were even missing lol

This is it ready......

First take a look at the number of items you have currently in your inventory and write that down. This will tell you if this works.

Now clear your cashe both of them btw on the perferrances list. Relog When you come back let your inventory load and look at the number of things you now have. Give it time it will take a while if you have a lot in your inventory. Took me like 10 mins i have like 35000 + items. When it is done if you are still missing then.....

Clear both of them again and relog but when you come back log into a reigon called Welsh.
You will be underwater but dont worry lol

ok now do the same thing let your inventory reload and you should be fine. This worked for me and several others I know with same issues.

Hi Ron, what do you mean by clearing "both"? There is only one cache you can clear in preferences, network. You can do this when your online and when your offline.

No reason to. It sounds to me like she was having the same issue as the OP. All the Forum Guidelines say to check for existing threads before opening a new one. She did the right thing.
